Adopt-A-Wish®

There’s an amazing way to help children with any life-threatening medical condition, and that’s to make their wishes come true. Literally. Through the Adopt-A-Wish^® program your company can become the sole Sponsor of a life-changing experience.

What do they wish for? Some wish to go places like Walt Disney World, some wish to have a puppy or a computer, some want to be a firefighter for the day and others want to meet their heroes such as Dale Earnhardt, Jr. They all, every one of them, wish for that special someone like you to make their wish come true. At the Make-A-Wish Foundation^® of East Tennessee we make the Adopt-A-Wish program a joy for our sponsors as well as our children. We’ll keep you fully informed about the wish you are granting. Whenever possible, we’ll share with you correspondence from the child whose wish you’ve granted.

It is our mission to never deny a child’s right to a wish or to delay a wish for lack of funding. Increasing numbers of eligible children, and an average wish fulfillment cost of more than $6,000 has accelerated the need for an enhanced ability to grant enchanting wishes and the desire to increase the responsiveness to this substantial need- especially where time is critical.

When you help grant a wish, you may find your own life as greatly enriched as the families whose lives are changed forever with precious memories that last a lifetime. There are many ways that the Adopt-A-Wish program can be implemented in your workplace. We are sure that there is an appropriate program for your company. The Make-A-Wish Foundation covers all costs associated with a wish, including transportation, food, lodging and admission fees for the entire family. We will provide you with a special story about your adopted wish so that you can see how your contribution brings joy to a courageous wish child.
